COLOR! Art Ark Mural
Crocker Art Museum
Sacramento, CA

The Art Ark is a 625-square-foot mobile art education center that serves 25–30 schools throughout the greater Sacramento region each year. It provides cost-effective arts education resources and brings museum-based learning experiences directly to Pre-K through 8th grade students.

COLOR! was created for the Summer 2014 academic session and features a series of illustrations exploring the history of color in both art and science. The composition prominently depicts paint emerging from a large color wheel, blending under a microscope, and animating the wings of a butterfly, culminating in a vibrant frame surrounding a selected work from art history alongside the Crocker Art Museum logo.
